In line with the stipulations of the Personal Data Protection Law (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 87/2018), the reinsurance company Dunav Re a.d.o. Belgrade, Knez Mihailova Street 6/II (hereinafter referred to as the Company), provides the following information:
Considering that the Personal Data Protection Law defines a data processor as a natural or legal entity that processes data on behalf of the controller, which is not the role of a reinsurer, Dunav Re JSC, as a reinsurance company, is not considered a recipient of data or a processor.
Insurance companies/Cedents transfer their risks to reinsurers in order to actively manage their portfolio and fulfill their legal obligations defined in insurance contracts.
All data provided is used in line with the reinsurance agreements for the performance of that agreement or taking actions in accordance with that agreement. The reinsurer uses the data provided by Cedents for fulfilling its obligations related to its primary activity and towards third parties that, as stipulated by law, must have access to such data (National Bank of Serbia, Anti-Money Laundering Agency, and other state authorities, external auditors, courts, etc.).
Data Security
All data collected and used by the Company is stored both electronically and physically and is considered a business secret. The Company implements all available technical and organizational measures for data protection, in compliance with the law and its internal policies. The building housing the Company’s offices is equipped with 24-hour physical security, and the premises are monitored by video surveillance. Access to individual computers used by employees, where data received from Cedents is stored, is secured with security protection.
