On May 13, 2022, Dunav Re a.d.o. became a signatory of the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance (UN PSI), joining the global community of banks, insurers, and investors within the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).

Through the planning and implementation of targeted projects and initiatives, we work to turn our responsibility into significant results that bring positive change and improve the quality of life in the world around us.
As an advocate for environmental protection, Dunav Re maintains an active relationship with its surroundings and allocates significant funds for the development of activism among school-age children in the direction of nature protection and its resources.
The most significant contribution is the participation in the “Forest Caravan” project, in which we financed the planting of trees of the protected species, Pančić’s spruce, in primary schools across Serbia.
The program is primarily aimed at younger elementary school students, so that children at an early age can develop an awareness of environmental protection and acquire practical knowledge on how to achieve it. The work with children relies on an approach that integrates both theoretical and practical aspects.

The dynamics of planting new tree seeds within the "Forest Caravan" project are twice a year, and we continuously increases the number of seedlings from one campaign to the next.
Being experts in the field of risk management, we are fully aware that the entire planet suffers daily from the negative consequences of pollution and its harmful impact on the environment.
Setting the priorities on reducing pollution from outdated heating systems, the parent company Dunav Insurance Company, Dunav Re, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection implemented a project to replace the heating system at the “Pčelica” preschool in Belgrade with a new, environmentally friendly remote heating system.
With the aim of improving air quality and ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for our children, Dunav Re will continue to participate in such and similar ecological projects in the future.
