Green Tour 2024: Dunav Re as the project’s partner
The three-day conference named Green Tour, organized by students of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences from Belgrade, gathered through the FON Digital (FD) association, was held on the Zlatibor mountain from October 17 to 19, 2024.
Over 300 representatives from the academic community of the University of Belgrade participated in the event. The main goal of the project is environmental protection, raising awareness about the importance of preserving the natural ecosystem, sustainable development, and taking direct actions to create a greener and more sustainable future.
Dunav Re, as an environmentally responsible company, supported Green Tour as a project partner and will continue its cooperation in the coming period through lectures and the organization of panels on topics in the field of environmental protection, the relationship to natural resources, ecosystems, as well as topics on the principles of sustainable business. The conference began with a lecture by the representative of Dunav Re. In the introduction segment, the history of the company, business results, mission, vision, and strategy of long-term sustainability, evaluation of the results so far in this segment of business, as well as the announcement of progress in the application of sustainability principles were presented. This was followed by the presentation “ESG factors in business and principles for sustainable insurance,” which was designed as a guide for forming a socially responsible and environmentally oriented company, based on our past experiences and concrete examples of actions.
From the discussions, it can be concluded that the topic was assessed as extremely important. The working part of the conference included the planting of 5 Pančić spruce seedlings and ecological cleaning of a part of the forest in the area of Gajevi. Representatives of Dunav Re participated in both activities. Finally, the organizers of the Green Tour conference thanked Dunav Re for their participation, inspiring lecture, and concrete suggestions for continued cooperation.
