Dunav Re among the participants at SIRC 2026
The Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC), one of the most prominent international events in the reinsurance industry, was held for the 22nd time this year in Singapore. Representatives of Dunav Re also attended the conference, where they had the opportunity to learn about current trends and developments in the global reinsurance market, exchange experiences and establish contacts with business partners from around the world.
This year’s conference highlighted the growing importance of the Asian market in the global reinsurance industry, as well as the need to adapt to new economic, technological, climate-related and geopolitical challenges.
Particular emphasis was placed on increasing risks associated with natural catastrophes, cyber risks, infrastructure development, the application of artificial intelligence and the digitalisation of underwriting processes.
One of the notable market trends is the continued decline in prices, accompanied by greater availability of reinsurance capacity and potentially more favourable terms for insurers.
Nevertheless, the long-term stability of the market should not be based solely on downward pricing pressure, but also on the principles of sustainability, mutual trust and partnership between insurers and reinsurers.
Consistency in business relationships and contractual terms is essential to maintaining market stability, both in favourable market conditions and in periods of increased claims and heightened risks.
The objective should not be limited to achieving short-term benefits, but should focus on building long-term partnerships that ensure stability, predictability and adequate protection throughout all phases of the market cycle.
Because quality reinsurance is not just a matter of price, but also of long-term security and trust.
